1. Sources and Categories of Personal Information
We may collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual, household, or device (“personal information”). Personal information does not include information that is lawfully made available to the general public, deidentified information, or aggregated information.
Information you provide directly. We may collect personal information when you contact us, communicate with us by email or phone, interact with live chat, register for a website account, request information, subscribe to marketing, submit a customer application, make an online payment, check order status, attend a trade show or event, communicate with a sales representative, request a catalog, or otherwise interact with us.
Depending on the interaction, this information may include:
- Name, company name, job title, business email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, and other business contact information.
- Website-account registration and authentication information, including company name, user contact name, email address, account credentials, and password-reset information.
- Customer-onboarding information, including legal company name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, employer identification number (EIN), business structure, resale or sales-tax exemption information, industry-identification information, accounts-payable contact information, sales-management contact information, and marketing preferences.
- Documents and files you submit, including resale certificates and related business documentation.
- Order, invoice, purchase-order, sales-order, shipping, drop-shipment, delivery, tracking, and payment-related information.
- Message content, chat transcripts, inquiries, product interests, and other information you choose to provide.
Sensitive information and unintended submissions. We do not request Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, card security codes, driver’s-license information, medical information, or other unrelated sensitive personal information through general website forms or document-upload fields. Please do not submit such information unless specifically requested through an authorized and appropriate process. Because certain fields and uploads may accept free-form information, we may inadvertently receive information that was not requested. If we identify such information, we may delete, restrict, or otherwise handle it as appropriate.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we and our service providers may collect information through cookies, pixels, tags, log files, and similar technologies. This may include IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, interactions with the Services, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie identifiers, security-event data, and related technical information.
Information from business partners and other sources. We may receive information from customers, distributors, suppliers, contracted sales representatives, service providers, event organizers, and other business partners where reasonably necessary for business communications, account servicing, order fulfillment, marketing, security, compliance, or other legitimate business purposes.
Minors. The Services are intended for business users and adult visitors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old, or under 16 where a higher age threshold applies. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
2. How We Use Personal Information

Where required, we provide choices to opt out through our cookie-consent tool, recognized privacy signals, our privacy-request form, or the contact methods below.
4. Payments
When you use our online payment form, we collect customer and payment-related information such as company or customer name, customer number, payment contact name, email address, telephone number, invoice, sales-order or purchase-order number, and payment amount.
Our online payment form is provided through Jotform, and payment-card information is submitted to Authorize.net for payment processing. Peerless does not receive or retain full payment-card numbers or card security codes. Jotform may retain the non-card information submitted through the payment form, and Peerless receives transaction confirmations and related customer and payment details without full payment-card information.
Payment processing is also subject to the applicable privacy notices and terms of Jotform and Authorize.net.
5. Website Accounts and Order-Status Services
Website accounts. Visitors may register for a website account by providing information such as company name, contact name, and email address. We use this information to create, administer, authenticate, and secure website accounts and to support password-reset and account-related communications. Website accounts are separate from formal Peerless customer accounts and do not provide access to payment information or other customer-account records unless expressly indicated.
Order-status services. Visitors may submit customer and order-related identifiers through our order-status service. We use the submitted information to validate the inquiry and, when appropriate, display limited order and shipment information, such as product, quantity, shipping status, ship date, and tracking information.
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access to website-account and order-status information. Visitors may not attempt to access information they are not authorized to view.
6. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Privacy Signals
The Services use cookies and similar technologies to operate the websites, maintain security, remember preferences, measure performance, support live chat, display embedded content, and understand how visitors use the Services.
We use a cookie-consent and preference-management tool powered by Complianz. Depending on your location and applicable law, non-essential cookies and similar technologies may be controlled through the cookie banner or preference center. You may update cookie preferences through the websites’ cookie settings where available.
Our websites may use cookies and related technologies associated with services such as Google Analytics, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Fonts, Wordfence, Tawk, Brevo, Wistia, YouTube, Jotform, and other website-functionality tools detected or used on the Services.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Where supported by our consent-management platform and required by applicable law, we recognize and respond to user-enabled browser privacy signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as an opt-out request for sale, sharing, or certain non-essential tracking. If a browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) signal, our consent-management platform may treat that signal according to its configuration and applicable law.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to help understand how visitors use the websites. Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga, _ga_*, _gid, and related cookies. You may manage analytics cookies through the cookie-preference tool and through browser settings or tools made available by Google.
